Alliance Community Hospital
Alliance Community Hospital is a non-profit hospital founded in 1901. It is licensed for 204 beds, including 78 nursing home and transitional care beds housed in their attached, long-term care facility, Community Care Center.
The hospital found it a difficult task of balancing a healing environment and a healthcare organization. For their renovation they were searching for a flooring solution that was easy to clean, sustainable, aesthetically pleasing and would increase their return on investment. With Johnsonite's iQ products, Alliance Community Hospital found the solution they were looking for.
Johnsonite's Optima and Granit iQ products are no wax, no finish for life and allow the hospital to clean their floors in minimal time with only a mop and neutral pH cleaner, thus reducing downtime and disruption in this busy environment. Calm and soothing colors were selected for their high-performance floors, creating positive vibrations. The balance of performance and aesthetics has provided Alliance a floor that meets their stringent requirements on comfort, while creating measurable economic return.
"Coming from a background where I was a sales representative for a chemical cleaning company I did not have much faith in a floor that never had to be waxed," said Bob Madison, Environmental Services Co-Director at Alliance Community Hospital. "We have a common gathering area in our nursing home where wheel chairs and constant foot traffic were a concern of mine. However, I have witnessed the positive performance of this floor. I am now a true believer in Johnsonite's iQ products."
