Clark County School District
Clark County School District’s (CCSD) Variety School is a new 80,600 sq. ft. special education school, serving students in Las Vegas ages 5-22 with autism and behavioral and emotional challenges. The project was completed by the Design-Build team of Martin Harris Construction and KGA Architecture. Construction started on the new facility in 2011 and the school was opened in January 2013.
KGA needed to find a flooring solution that was cost effective and aesthetically pleasing, all while trying to meet CCSD’s stringent energy efficiency targets and use of environmentally friendly materials throughout the school. The designers turned to the Azrock VCT collection to turn the Variety School into a comfortable, safe learning environment for the students in Las Vegas.
KGA recognized that VCT is a standard, cost effective solution for flooring and Azrock VCT was its first choice due to the vast array of color options. The many different palettes, with their vibrant options, enable KGA to realize its vision for the school.
